Piquett Creek Base Camp

Piquett Creek base camp is located in the heart of the south half of the Bitterrroot National Forest. It provides our students with the opportunity to learn the fundamental skills necessary to become a Wilderness Outdoor Adventure and Hunting guide in the natural environment not far from the Blue Ribbon Trout waters of the West Fork of the Bitterroot River.

The Bitterroot National Forest

The Bitterroot National Forest is home to an abundance of wildlife, including Elk, Deer, Moose, Bighorn sheep, Mountain Goats, Black Bear, and Mountain lions.

The Selway Wilderness Area

Included in the course of study is a packtrip into the Wilderness in which the students experience the hands on practical applications of what they learn during their course of study of the many skills required to be a Wilderness Adventure and Hunting Guide.

Circle KBL
Our partnership with Circle KBL provides the students of Western Montana School for Guides the Stock and Tack and personnel to make their learning experience truly hands on. The student will be working with good mules and horses and first rate equipment that is well maintained and cared for in order to provide their "real world" clients with a safe and good experience on their camping and hunting trips into the wilderness.
