Western Montana School for Guides is dedicated to providing students with the education and practical experience necessary for a successful career as a guide and outfitter, as well as an expert outdoors person.  The school is located in Darby, Montana, about an hours drive south of Missoula.

Western Montana School for Guides goal is to keep things simple, one fee covers all instruction and study materials, wilderness housing in outfitter tents, food and showers.  You will live and learn in the same environment where you eventually may work, and summers in Montana are spectacular.

Training is accomplished by integrating class room instruction; observation, practice and personalized instruction under close supervision.  Classes are kept small to ensure you receive personal coaching in all phases of training.
